Backcountry huts are the most relaxing and energizing places on Earth. Should you curl up with your coffee next to the woodstove with expansive mountain views or should you motivate and explore the valley basin and mountain tops until the sun sets? You will have to decide!

The Tundra Hut is exactly this kind of extraordinary place on Earth. Perched at 11,594 ft it was built with a vision of a remote backcountry refuge to both enjoy peaceful days and endless adventure of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

Testimonials

What our guests say about our hut.

It is amazing to have a spot that you can sneak up to on a weeknight in the summer and watch the sunset over the mountains. Yet be back in the Front Range for work the next morning.

I’ve been to nearly every 10th Mountain Division Hut, and the Tundra Hut is something very special. The massive picture windows provide unbeatable views and stargazing.

Steve T.Denver

Totally worth the trip. There is something really unique about staying in these special high-altitude huts. The Tundra Hut makes it even easier with so many more creature comforts than we were expecting.
